A powerful new tool, Clinical Practice Improvement (CPI), helps practitioners and payers continually assess the outcome of medical care and its relationship to the patients risk factors. Rather than focusing on profiling physicians, CPI profiles the care process by analyzing the content and timing of individual steps of a medical care process. The goal is to determine how to achieve superior medical outcomes for the least necessary cost over the continuum of a patients care.
